Stringerbead Stitching's beginnings

Starting a business is no small feat. Especially when you have been around it all your life but not actually majored in it and just participated. I can say that I can't do much in the way of stringing a bead but I have had my whole life to sit back and watch the best.

Sliding back into time to August 20th, 1983, a small DBA, Stringerbead Welding was formed. My dad, David Hamilton was the founding father of that welding business. He had already been a welder at that time for around a decade. He had worked in the Bahamas, for Pan Am, and so many other companies in Florida as a young man.  So now he wasn't just chasing jobs, he could also be his own boss and do odd jobs. At the time I was only 3 but even then I had no clue that we were going to be a traveling family. Growing up we lived in Georgia, Texas, Florida and Tennessee! Growing up in a 40 foot 5th wheel was like an everyday camping trip to me! Thinks changed when in 1987, we had come to TN.

My dad was still working at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant in Soddy Daisy, TN in the early 90's when he was hurt. Although he couldn't go back to welding immediately after some extensive neck surgery, he opened the door for himself to stay in the profession and keep moving up the ladder.  In the years that followed we went back to college and obtained many extra certifications.  As his business card states:

He offered the following services

Welding Engineering and Consulting Services World Wide

C.W.I/C.W.E Welding Engineer/Consultant

Procedure Examination , Development and Qualification

Quality Control and Inspection, Welder Qualification

On-Site Training of Supervision and Craftspeople

Materials Application and Selection

Equipment Upgrade and Justification

and an Expert Witness

He was apart of A.W.S./A.S.M.E/A.P.I and I.S.C

and lastly a certified Welding Teacher at Sequoyah Vocational!

The Man was a Jack of All Trades in Welding!!!!!!!!!

So as you can see growing up I had all this to look up to! Well enough for the blog today. I need to take some fresh ideas and put them together on the site for our Grand Opening on Tuesday August 20th, 2024! Stay Tuned for more!
